ABLE Accounts Information (Achieving a Better Life Experience) - ABLE accounts help people with disabilities to save while preserving their SSI and Medicaid.

  • ISBA ABLE Savers Program - ISBA's new ABLE Savers program promotes workforce development among adults with spina bifida by pairing adults with community social workers to assess barriers and action steps related to participating in vocational training and employment; increase knowledge about vocational training resources and ABLE accounts; and to facilitate linkages to ABLE accounts and advocates specializing in Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

  • ABLE National Resource Center - (ANRC) is a collaborative whose supporters share the goal of accelerating the design and availability of ABLE accounts for the benefit of individuals with disabilities and their families.

  • Illinois ABLE - The Illinois ABLE program is a tax-advantaged investment program that provides persons with blindness or disabilities the option to save for disability-related expenses without putting their federal means tested benefits at risk.

Analysis of Social Security Benefits. One-on-one comprehensive benefits analysis to SSI/SSDI recipients with disabilities who live in Chicago on the effects of working and receiving benefits.  A benefits analysis can be scheduled by appointment. This service is provided for job seeking individuals with disabilities as well as youth in transition between the ages of 14-22.

The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) is responsible for providing healthcare coverage for adults and children who qualify for Medicaid.  HealthChoice Illinois - Starting January 1, 2018, managed care in Illinois is expanding to all counties statewide.  Most Medicaid clients are required to enroll with a HealthChoice Illinois (managed care) health plan.

A database of Illinois infants, children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities who have needs for developmental disability services or supports. The PUNS database helps identify and plan for your immediate needs, through the IL Department of Human Services.
